Terms of service

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all purchases from Elohaven through this website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm dispatch. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a pricing error has occurred, in which case we will refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken at checkout through our secure payment providers.

4. Products

We describe and photograph products as accurately as possible. Natural materials such as stone, wood, glass and paper vary, and small differences in colour, grain and texture are normal. Screen settings may also affect how colours appear.

5. Installation and safety

Hardwired lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (UK wiring regulations). We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation or use contrary to the product instructions.

6. Delivery

Delivery terms are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Cancellations and returns

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We extend this to 30 days. See our Refund Policy.

8. Warranty and faulty goods

Lighting carries a 1-year warranty against manufacturing faults. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price paid for the product.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
